Fiber-optic compression of partly coherent pulses

V. A. Vyslouh, L. Kh. Muradyan
Abstract: The results are given of analytic and numerical investigations of the process of self-interaction of partly coherent pulses in fiber waveguides. The attention is concentrated on identification of the optimal compression regimes. It is shown that the parameters of compressed pulses can be stabilized by spatial filtering of the spectrum in a grating compressor.
