Reflection of picosecond light pulses from an antiresonant ring cavity containing a dye solution

Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the energy characteristics of an antiresonant ring cavity containing a dye solution, as used in systems for generation of ultrashort light pulses. It was found that collisions of light pulses increased the reflection coefficient by a factor of 1.5–2 and enhanced the nonlinearity of the bleaching of the solution.
