Abstract:
The efficiency of the method of holographic pattern recognition depends in each specific case on a number of factors. The properties of the method and the design of the recognition system are very different for "simple" and "complex" patterns. The degree of localization of the correlation signal is proposed as the criterion for the separation of objects into simple and complex. Characteristics of holographic filter recording are considered and methods for transforming simple patterns, facilitating correlation analysis, are discussed. The results are illustrated by examples in which practical problems are solved, such as identification of the spectra, processing of track detector data, etc.
