Ruby-laser third harmonic generation in thallium vapor

Abstract: An investigation was made of the influence of the degree of focusing on ruby-laser third harmonic generation in thallium vapor. It was found experimentally that, as the focal length of the lens used for focusing decreases, the maximum stimulated emission signal increases and is shifted toward higher temperatures, and narrowing of the stimulated emission curve is observed.
