Single-pulse YAG:$Nd^{3+}$ laser emitting at 1.318$\mu m$

Abstract:
An investigation was made of the main characteristics of a high-power single-pulse YAG:$Nd^{3+}$ laser emitting at the wavelength of 1.318$\mu m$. The output radiation energy was 0.13 J. The dependence of the gain at the 1.318$\mu m$ wavelength on the pump energy was determined. Moreover, the efficiency of generation of the second harmonic of the 1.318$\mu m$ radiation in a lithium iodate crystal was studied.
