Laser radiation parameters

Spectral characteristics and kinetics of radiation emitted by a streamer semiconductor laser

R. F. Nabiev, A. Z. Obidin, A. N. Pechenov, Yu. M. Popov
Abstract: A calculation is made of the spectral characteristics and kinetics of emission of radiation by a streamer semiconductor laser. The influence of the resonator parameters and of the cooling time of the electron-hole subsystem on the laser spectra is considered. It is shown that lasing results in a nonmonotonic change in the effective temperature of the electron–hole subsystem at the leading edge of the output radiation pulse and slows down the cooling of carriers.
