Gas lasers

Optically pumped pulse-periodic C2D2 laser

V. Yu. Baranov, A. P. Dyad'kin, S. A. Kazakov, S. V. Pigulskii, A. I. Starodubtsev
Abstract: A pulse-periodic C2D2 laser with a resonant pumping by CO2 laser radiation was constructed and investigated. Measures which could optimize the output radiation parameters were identified. The average output power was ~5 W at the emission frequency of 562.5 cm–1 and the efficiency of conversion of CO2 laser radiation was 2.9%. The energy of a single pulse was ~100 mJ.
