Spectral and temporal characteristics of the radiation generated in solutions of organic compounds with vibrational structure in the gain spectra

N. A. Borisevich, V. V. Gruzinskii, N. M. Paltarak
Abstract: An investigation was made of the solutions of the derivatives of oxazole and 1,4-di (benzoxazol-2'-yl) benzene pumped by the second harmonic of a ruby laser. Stimulated emission was obtained from these solutions at the maxima of structured gain spectra. In some cases the stimulated emission spectrum was practically stable. Two emission bands appeared simultaneously and developed synchronously, which indicated that the broadening of the spectra was inhomogeneous. The stimulated radiation pulses consisted of several spikes of different duration.
