Method for measuring polarization and spatial characteristics of light scattered by laser mirrors

A. G. Mogil'nyi, V. D. Popov, B. V. Rybakov
Abstract: The signal/noise ratio was improved in the measurement of the indicatrix of the light scattered by laser mirrors. The improvement was achieved by using the energy accumulated in a unidirectionally operated traveling-wave laser resonator. A description is given of the apparatus with which this method was put to test and the results of the measurements are given.
