Abstract: The emission dynamics was determined for gallium arsenide and cadmium sulfide lasers pumped longitudinally with an electron beam of 10 μ diameter. Spikes were observed and they were attributed to the dependence of the refractive index of the active crystal on the density of the electromagnetic field in the resonator.
