Abstract: An optical waveguide was prepared by the diffusion of Ti in LiNbO3. Optical surface waves were diffracted by acoustic surface waves of 110 MHz frequency. Acoustic waves of ~100 mW power were used to pump to 95% of light from the zeroth maximum to the first (85%) and second (10%) maxima.
