Investigation of pulse copper-vapor laser

Abstract: An investigation was made of the characteristics of the pulse copper-vapor laser operated under selfheating conditions. Various gas-discharge tubes were used and the discharge conditions were varied over a wide range. An output power of 6–16 W and efficiency of 0.4–1% were obtaied for small-bore tubes.
