Influence of the charge transfer process on the establishment of the characteristics of a laser plasma formed from gas-containing solids

Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of a plasma formed as a result of interaction of laser radiation of 1–100 GW/cm2 intensity with a target containing occluded gases. The process of charge transfer between multiply charged ions and neutral atoms of the gas had a considerable influence on the establishment of the charge and energy states of a multicomponent laser plasma.
