High-pressure He–Cd laser pumped by a nanosecond electron beam

Abstract:
Results are presented of a study of lasing and of numerical modeling of a high-pressure He–Cd laser pumped by a nanosecond electron beam and emitting at λ = 325, 442, 534, and 537 nm. The results of numerical calculations using a theoretical model are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. It is shown that the λ = 442 nm line is the most promising for the development of large-aperture high-power systems.
