Optimal conditions for microwave pumping of a helium–neon laser

V. I. Yudin
Full-text PDF (569 kB) Citations (2)
Abstract: Consideration is given to the phase focusing of plasma electrons in the active medium of a helium-neon laser, heated by a microwave pump field. Simple expressions are obtained for calculating the optimal parameters of the excitation field and the pressure of the laser active medium. The specific pump power of the optimized He–Ne laser was ~0.2 W/cm3.
