Abstract: An investigation was made of a double-pass YAG:Nd3+ amplifier with a stimulated Brillouin scattering mirror for a train of subnanosecond pulses. An output energy of 0.3 J was obtained with diffraction-limited divergence in a pulse train of 0.5–1.5 ns duration.
