Influence of the polarization of the object and reference waves on the hologram quality

Abstract:
An analysis is made of the influence of the object and reference wave polarizations on the hologram quality. It is proposed to use a circularly polarized reference wave to record radiation with various polarizations. A relationship between the diffraction efficiency of a hologram and the polarization of the object and reference waves is established.
