Control of spectral and time characteristics of the radiation emitted by an electron-beam-controlled CO laser by intracavity spatial filtering

Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the possibility of controlling the spectral and time characteristics of the radiation from a Q-switched electron-beam-controlled CO laser by a resonator with internal spatial separation of the emission lines. An independent control was provided by delay of the pulses representing different spectral components, which could be used to optimize the output energy from an active medium of a CO short-pulse amplifier.
