Optimal cavities for self-mode locking of solid-state lasers by self-focusing

Abstract:
A method is proposed for the optimisation of the cavities of solid-state lasers with self-mode locking by self-focusing. The feasibility of using cavities with two, three, and four mirrors for this purpose is considered.
