Influence of preliminary pump pulses on the output characteristics of stripe heterojunction lasers

Vũ Van Lуk, A. S. Kalshabekov, M. A. Man'ko, G. T. Mikayelyan, S. N. Sokolov
Abstract: An investigation was made of the spectral, spatial, and power characteristics of stripe heterojunction lasers pumped by double pulses. It was found that a suitable selection of the parameters of the preliminary and pump pulses ensured formation of an adiabatic temperature waveguide in which narrowing and stabilization of the electromagnetic field took place in the p-n junction plane, where single-frequency emission was obtained.
