Acceleration effects in resonant interaction between intense light fields and ions in a low temperature plasma

Abstract: An analytical investigation is made of the profile of an emission line of ions in a low-temperature plasma which are resonantly excited with a high-intensity traveling light wave. It is shown that the line shift caused by the acceleration of the ions in the electric discharge field decreases on increase in the saturation parameter.
