Abstract: A theoretical investigation is made of the influence of the gas temperature on the kinetic cooling of a CO2–N2 mixture by CO2 laser radiation. The dependences of the cooling parameters on the initial temperature and compositions of various mixtures subjected to laser radiation of various intensities have made it possible to determine the temperature range of the existence of the cooling effect.
