Abstract: Laser screens for cathode-ray tubes were made of single-crystal ingots of cadmium sulfide, cadmium sulfide-selenide solid solutions, and zinc selenide emitting in the 0.45–0.64 μ range. The homogeneity and stability of the radiation emitted from these screens were studied. The service life of laser screens was found to be governed mainly by the stability of the reflection coatings.
