Calculation of the energy parameters of a laser with an unstable resonator

Abstract:
The energy characteristics of a three-dimensional solid-state laser with a telescopic resonator are investigated by solving numerically the radiative transfer equations and the population inversion equation. It is assumed that external pumping of the active medium is strongly inhomogeneous inside the resonator. The optimal values of the gain and reflection coefficient, ensuring the maximum output, are found.
