Possible stabilization of the frequency of a CO2 laser using an external Stark cell containing 1-1 difluoroethane

V. P. Avtonomov, R. Alexandrescu, D. Dumitras, D. Dutu
Abstract: Results are presented of measurements of the Stark modulation index and absorption coefficient of CO2 laser radiation due to the P(24) line by 1-1 difiuorethane (C2H4F2). The possibility of stabilizing the CO2 laser frequency using a Stark cell is demonstrated and the laser frequency tuning efficiency within the P(24) line of the 00o1–10o0 transition is determined.
