High-pressure wire-triggered pulsed CO2 laser

Abstract:
A study was made of a wire-triggered pulsed CO2 laser operating in a wide range of pressures (up to 3 atm). Discharge and laser radiation characteristics were determined. A theoretical model of the kinetic processes was used to predict the lasing characteristics over a wide range of discharge parameters. The theoretical results were in good agreement with the experiments.
