Planar waveguides with leaky modes and determination of their parameters

Abstract: It was established experimentally that the propagation constants of TE modes in a planar waveguide with leaky modes can be estimated by utilization of the formation of periodic structures on the surface of a condensed medium as a result of interaction with laser radiation.
