Abstract:
The gas channel of a pulse-periodic CO2 laser is considered as an acoustic resonator. Experimental and theoretical investigations are carried out on acoustic waves in such a resonator and on how they limit the pulse-repetition frequency. The results of a numerical calculation are compared with the experimental data.
