Laser processing and cutting of transparent materials

Abstract:
A method was developed for scribing and separation of transparent materials using laser thermal cavitation in a liquid in contact with the investigated material. The use of an argon laser for cutting of glass made it possible to reduce the cut thickness to 10 μ.
