Influence of reconversion on the dynamics of a pulsed optical parametric oscillator

I. Ya. Itskhoki, A. A. Solov'ev, S. L. Seregin
Abstract: A theoretical and experimental investigation was made of the reconversion of the power of parametric waves back to the power at the pump frequency. This effect was found to limit the efficiency of pulsed parametric optical oscillators. Experiments were carried out on an LiNbO3 oscillator excited by single-mode radiation from a Q-switched YAG:Nd3+ laser (pump wavelength 1.064 µ).
