Abstract: .An investigation was made of the properties of electronic I–III and I–IV intermetallic compounds as potential materials for coating of reflection elements to be used in power optics. It was found that the use of intermetallic compounds reduced considerably the scattering losses. The maximum unevenness of polished optical surfaces was 4 nm.
