Abstract:
Femtosecond pulses were generated in a titanium – sapphire laser pumped synchronously by the second harmonic of a pulsed neodymium phosphate-glass laser with passive mode locking and negative feedback. Such a laser, combined with a regenerative amplifier, provided a simple, reliable, and relatively inexpensive (compared with cw-pumped laser systems) source of femtosecond pulses.
