Reflection holograms in LiNbO3:Fe crystals

A. L. Mikaélyan, É. Kh. Gulanyan, E. I. Dmitrieva, I. R. Dorosh
Abstract: Reflection holograms were recorded along the c axis of a crystal at wavelengths of 0.63 and 0.44 μ. A diffraction efficiency of 65% and a sensitivity to a 0.3 nm change in the wavelength in the reconstruction stage were achieved in a crystal 5 mm long. The dependences of the diffraction efficiency of the holograms on the spatial frequency of recording and the orientation of a crystal in the course of reconstruction were determined. The possibility of using reflection holograms in LiNbO3:Fe crystals in optical storage and processing systems was considered.
