Reproduction of wavefronts in scattering of light by acoustic waves and its relationship to dynamic holography

V. B. Gerasimov, V. K. Orlov
Abstract: A theoretical analysis is made of the validity of the analogy between the reproduction of wavefronts in stimulated scattering and dynamic holography. It is shown that such reproduction is a basically new nonlinear optical effect and has no analogs in holography. The possibility of reproduction of wavefronts in scattering of light by acoustic waves excited by an external source is demonstrated.
