Abstract: An investigation was made of the characteristics of stimulated Raman scattering obtained by varying the ratio of the duration of the exciting pulses τe to the relaxation time of molecular vibrations T2. Some characteristic features of the scattering were observed for the first time in the range τe≈2 psec << T2.
