Stimulated emission in far ultraviolet due to transitions in multiply charged neon-like ions

L. A. Vaĭnshteĭn, A. V. Vinogradov, U. I. Safronova, I. Yu. Skobelev
Abstract: The possibility of stimulated emission as a result of transitions in multiply charged neon-like ions is considered. The energies of excited terms with the 2p53s, 2p53p, and 2p53d configurations are calculated for ions with Z=4–17. The wavelengths of the expected laser transitions are given for the λ≈250–1600 Å range.
