Transformation of the tone gradation scale of a discrete image on the basis of grid coding

Abstract:
It is shown that a coherent optical processor can perform certain nonlinear operations (in particular, threshold filtering) on discrete images. Such operations are based on grid encoding of an image and Wiener filtering. Experimental results obtained in such an operation are reported.
