Influence of thermal self-interaction on the angular spectrum and coherence of laser radiation in a turbulent medium

A. S. Gurvich, D. P. Krindach, V. A. Myakinin
Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the angular spectrum and spatial coherence of laser radiation in a turbulent medium. Thermal defocusing increased the spatial coherence radius of the beam field. Experimental results were compared with calculations using the constant-field approximation.
