Abstract: A theory of a modulation light converter is developed. It is shown that the oscillation regimes can be multistable and are governed by one (excitation) parameter. A calculation is reported of the critical values of the excitation parameter corresponding to the thresholds of the appearance of various branches of steady-state regimes, of amplitude pulsations, and of dynamic chaos. The frequency of steady-state radiation is determined.
