Abstract: An investigation was made of frequency conversion, in xenon, of continuously tunable picosecond UV radiation to the third harmonic. The conditions for optimal tuning in the range 113.5 — 117.0 nm were determined. The maximum conversion efficiency in an Xe — Ar mixture was 8 × 10–4.
