Abstract:
A laser was constructed from a gadolinium scandium gallium garnet crystal doped with chromium and neodymium (GSGG:Cr:Nd). A prism resonator and polarization coupling out of radiation were used in this laser. The laser was Q-switched, its output energy was 0.3 J, the pulse duration was 10 nsec, the differential efficiency was 3%, the pulse repetition frequency was 50 Hz, and the divergence did not exceed 5'.
