Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of a dye jet laser synchronously pumped by the second harmonic of a continuously pumped Q-switched actively mode-locked neodymium-doped garnet laser. Trains of ultrashort pulses of ~25 psec duration with a peak power of up to 4 kW were obtained. The wavelength tuning range was 555–640 nm and the spectral line width was 0.05 nm. Operating characteristics of this laser regime were considered.
