Exciplex KrF laser pumped by an ion beam

Abstract: An output energy of 40 J/liter with an efficiency of 8.5% was achieved by ion beam pumping of an He–Kr–F2 exciplex laser. The results of a numerical modeling allowing for the field in the resonator agreed satisfactorily with the experimental data.
