Multipass neodymium glass amplifier

A. V. Kil'pio, A. V. Larikov, A. A. Malyutin, P. P. Pashinin
Abstract: A description is given of the construction of a multipass amplifier in which prism optics is used to direct the radiation transits. The calculated and experimental parameters of the amplifier are listed. It is reported that the amplifier gain is ~2×104 (or ~2.5×103 if losses are allowed) for pulses of 25 nsec duration and 4 mJ energy.
