Amplitude characteristics of the radiation emitted from ring lasers during stabilization of counterpropagating waves

I. V. Shpak, V. I. Kuz'menko, V. M. Klochko
Abstract: An experimental study was made of the influence of the interaction between counterpropagating waves in a gas ring laser on the evolution of stimulated emission, when the characteristics of the resonator and active medium change significantly in a time of the order of the interval necessary to establish steady-state operation. A model was proposed for the explanation of the observed effects.
