Full-text PDF (522 kB) Citations (4)
Abstract: Equations are derived for the n-th-order moments of the complex amplitudes of a reflected radiation field in a randomly inhomogeneous medium. By solving an equation for the second moment of the field, an analysis is made of the backscattering amplification effect and its range of existence is established.
