Interferometer for measuring small acoustic vibrations
T. F. Demidenko, L. A. Shenyavskiĭ, V. I. Shmal'gauzen
Abstract:
A laser interferometer is described which can detect vibrations of an amplitude of 2×10–4 nm when the specimen has a highly reflecting surface, and 10–2 nm when its surface is diffusely scattering. The use of a servo system was found to provide effective suppression of parasitic low-frequency vibrations.
