Thermal diffusion instability and formation of structures as a result of laser heating of absorbing liquids

I. F. Bunkin, B. S. Luk'yanchuk, G. A. Shafeev
Abstract: An experimental study demonstrated that in laser thermochemistry problems one should expect a thermal diffusion instability manifested by an avalanche-like increase in the concentration of the absorbing component and by the formation of structures differing in respect of the concentrations of the absorbing components of the medium.
