Abstract: An investigation was made of the time, energy, and spectral characteristics of YAG:Nd3+ and glass neodymium lasers which were irradiated with 60Co gamma rays in doses of 0–109 R. It was found experimentally that the defects fonned by ionizing radiation altered considerably the operating characteristics of these lasers.
