Lasers
Generation of nanosecond and microsecond pulses in a neodymium glass laser
L. M. Vasilyak, S. Yu. Unkovskiĭ
Abstract:
A neodymium laser with a plane–plane resonator and an exponentially activated electrooptic switch was used to generate pulses of controlled duration ranging from 20 ns to 2 μs with an energy up to 2 J from an aperture of 7 mm. These pulses were amplified to 30 J.
